Aerobord - Printing solution

The Challenge Faced
Aerobord employs approximately 70 people in Co. Limerick. The company has recently expanded with the installation of a new automated production line. As part of this installation, the company needed a label printing solution to print labels up to 6 inches wide and 8 inches long at high speeds and that was reliable.
Key to the whole requirement was a label that had to withstand external weather conditions for up to nine months.
Solution Overview
VisionID quickly grasped the requirements of Aerobord and recommended the Zebra Z6M Label Printer as the ideal solution.
The Z6M is an easy to use, cost effective printer in a rugged metal and die cast aluminium frame. This printer can produce label up to 7 inches wide, at speeds up to 10 inches per second. The Zebra Z6M is available in both 203dpi (8 dots/mm) and 300dpi (12 dots/mm), this dependable performer offers many standard features, including ZebraLink with Alert and WebView for centralized printer management. Upgradeable to grow with changing needs, the Z6M is ideal for shipping and receiving, compliance labelling, asset tracking and commercial or small business needs. Using Bartender software also supplied by VisionID, the users can design and print labels with ease.
The Poly Trans 2000 White supplied with an all purpose, permanent acrylic adhesive, to make it an ideal low-cost material for applications where more wear and tear resistance is required. And finally, the Zebra 4800 resin ribbon offers exceptional abrasion and solvent resistance on a wide variety of substrates while still providing excellent edge definition.

Aerobord connect their label deigns to an external database which updates the production information at time of print in real time. Using the Z6M printer in conjunction with Bartender software means Aerobord Ltd can now produce high quality, waterproof labels with relative ease and peace of mind.
