The Magellan 1000i is an omni directional scanner and imager ideally suited for small-counter retail environments where it can be used as a handheld or hands free reader. With no movable parts customarily found in other laser scanners, it is more resilient and reliable, and easily reads damaged and worn out barcodes as well. The Magellan 1000i comes with software that enables add-ons like new barcode symbologies, RFID coupling and other features that will make it the scanner for the future. Typical of the Datalogic Magellan series, the Magellan 1000i also has multiple interface support for each scanner permitting a new interface to be utilized with a change in a simple program parameter and a cable switch.
