Roche Logistics Group Selects VisionID to Deliver Next Generation Traceability
VisionID, a provider of digital transformation and mobile workforce solutions, announced today that Roche Logistics Group has partnered with VisionID to upgrade to a new fleet of Zebra MC9300 rugged mobile devices that will run their Warehouse Management System.
Due to end of support for their existing legacy Windows devices, Roche Logistics Group required a full mobile computer refresh whilst future-proofing themselves by incorporating the latest WIFI connectivity and Android-enabled mobile devices.
The goal was to upgrade to the latest mobile computers with WIFI technology and Android platforms that could provide accurate and dependable information for the employees on the warehouse floor.
“These mobile devices are critical to the traceability of our clients products when they are in our custody, so any downtime is extremely detrimental to our business,” said Conor Roche, Chairman of the Roche Logistics Group of companies
To address these concerns, VisionID recommended the Zebra MC9300 rugged mobile devices along with a range of professional and maintenance services to ensure that devices arrived ready for work and ensuring that all devices returned after repair arrive back to Roche Freight without the need for additional set up services.
The news of the Roche Logistics Group partnership comes off the back of the news of the Peak Technologies acquisition.
