VisionID Shortlisted for ‘SME Project of the Year’ in the Tech Excellence Awards 2022
VisionID is excited to announce that we have been shortlisted for ‘SME Project of the Year' in the Tech Excellence Awards 2022. We have been shortlisted alongside Ardanis, CLIRINX – Clinical Research IT, DNA IT Solutions, Magnet Plus, Savenet and Three Ireland.
The awards, which take place on Wednesday the 25th of May, will be hosted by Tech Excellence Awards in association with Magnet+ and will showcase the very best in the technology industry talent throughout the county.
The Tech Excellence Awards is Ireland’s principal badge of honour in the IT industry. This Awards programme recognises excellence not only in implementing tech solutions, but also in the business of marketing and implementing technology for business.
VisionID were nominated on the basis of our implementation of our Contact Tracing & Social Distancing Solution SureTraceID for Biomarin.
In the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, when restrictive measures were in place to combat the spread of the virus, a world leader in developing innovative biopharmaceuticals for rare diseases - Biomarin needed to not only remain operational, but also increase productivity due to an increased demand in pharmaceuticals across the globe.
SureTraceID, Enterprise Social Distancing and Contact Tracing, is a wearable solution created by VisionID that ensures Social Distancing in the workplace through an audible or vibrating alert and enables automated Contact Tracing, meeting government requirements and minimising disruption to the workplace in the event an employee shows symptoms.
Having trialled the solution, Biomarin saw benefits immediately and had VisionID deploy SureTraceID across various plants in Ireland and America. The technology has been adopted and internally named SafeTrace.
This project not only met a customer or industry requirement but it helped a global issue. Due to the use of SureTraceID, Biomarin never had to cease production due to a Covid-19 outbreak. VisionID were also able to take our learnings from our dealings with Biomarin to bring SureTraceID to mass market and help businesses keep their employee’s safe. Martin Leahy Senior IT Director at Biomarin stated that “Employees feel safer at work than anywhere else” due to the implantation of SureTraceID.
BioMarin were able to reduce time spent on contact tracing and mitigate human error due to the highly accurate ultrawideband technology harnessed by SureTraceID.
VisionID are beyond proud to be nominated for this award with our very own original technology and we will continue to focus on creating and supplying new innovative technologies that will help our customers to continuously better their operations.
