Kenneth offered his views on topics such as staying green and the future of AI in Ireland. In 2018 only 15% of enterprises were using AI, according to Adobe this number was expected to increase to 31% by 2019. Therefore, the presence of AI in Ireland is growing, especially in the manufacturing industry. According to Accenture’s Technology Vision 2017, AI has the potential to double annual economic growth rates by 2035. So, AI really does deserve attention and investment.
When asked for his opinion on Irish companies falling behind in AI in comparison to their US counterparts and what can these companies do to bridge this gap? Kenneth responded that he thought collaboration and investment were key.
