Get the right technology to suit your cleanroom needs

What are cleanrooms?

A Cleanroom is a room in which the concentration of airborne particles is controlled and designed to minimise the introduction, generation and retention of particles inside the room, even controlling the total room environment such as temperature, humidity, pressure through a specialised filtration.  Cleanrooms are frequently used in sectors such as pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, medical device industries

Why are cleanrooms needed?

For certain products to be manufactured i.e. medical devices need to be created in a contamination-free environment, each manufacturing operation requires an appropriate environmental cleanliness level in order to minimise the risks of cross contamination of the product or materials being handled.

That is why the standard for cleanrooms has been developed to determine the number and size of particles that are permitted per unit volume of air, this is known as the ISO standard.

What technology can you use?

This would mean that manufacturers are only allowed to use certain data capture technologies in these environments.

Clean room approved products such as:

  • HMI Touch Screens - BlueLine’s product line of HMI touch screens are compliant with all regulatory requirements. Designed to meet the EU CGMP classification for all cleanroom grades A-B-C-D and ISO 14644-1 class 5 to 8, you will optimise workflow, traceability, and documentation in all phases of production and packing.
  • Mobile Workstations - The mobile workstation solution can operate a single or twin screen application with EBR / MES & SOP being displayed also allowing data capture through scanning or RFID while on the move. For the pharma industry, which is highly regulated, we designed a clean room solution reducing grooves and crevices for easy clean down eliminating the possibility of cross-contamination.
  • Antimicrobial Coated Devices – We can provide a selection of data capture and printing technology that have an antimicrobial coating that will allow the device to operate in clean room environments. These devices range from mobile printers, handheld devices, desktop printers to barcode scanners - all with an antimicrobial coating.
