Highlights from the National Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference & Expo 2018
We exhibited at the 2018 National Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference which, took place in Dublin. This was a highly successful event that had 250 exhibitors and over 3,500 delegates in attendance, with many leading manufacturing companies across Ireland in attendance. Overall, the event provided delegates and exhibitors alike, with a great networking and business development opportunity.
Partnership announcement and live demo:
As part of our exhibition, we officially announced our new partnership with automated barcode labelling specialists, Cobalt Systems, who are a leading manufacturer of label application machinery. This marks an exciting new venture from VisionID’s perspective as we expand our solution set.
We are now positioned to offer our clients a complete solution in terms of print, application and verification of labels on the production line. We see particular growth potential in the Food and Beverage market based on Cobalt’s success in the UK and mainland Europe in this sector.
On our collaborative stand with Cobalt Systems, we had live demonstrations of an automated barcode labelling solution using Cobalt’s Nexus 20 Electric label applicator, showing its speed and precision label application.
We also gave a live “inspection and verification” demonstration using the Cognex Insight 7800 to demonstrate pattern check, OCR and 2D barcode capture. Also, a working demo of the Dataman 150x capturing 2d codes at 4 per second
These demonstrations gave attendees at the stand a full feel for the complete automated barcode labelling solution. With the latest technology on display and seminars from some of the leading personnel in the manufacturing industry, this is an event not to be missed in 2018.
