On the 14th of December, VisionID held our "Jingle your Jumpers" day for Down Syndrome Tipperary. On the day we wore our best Christmas jumpers for the cause and had our own Christmas day for those in the office and at home.
As it is approaching Christmas, it can an incredibly difficult time for many families who are faced with the toughening burden of the cost of living crisis in both the UK and Ireland. Peak Technologies’ European Director, René Schrama, kindly allocated €2,000 for donations to go to local charities near our Chippenham office in the UK and our Irish office, VisionID.
Last week we celebrated Halloween in the office with a Halloween-themed cook-off in association with “Trick or Treat for Sick Children” for the Children’s Health Foundation. On the day the team put their best culinary skills to the test to make some spooky treats to raise funds for the cause.
In September, VisionID took part in Bewley’s Big Coffee Morning Social to raise money for Hospice. This year marks an incredible 30years of Coffee Morning Socials, a milestone reached because of the generosity of people in cities, towns and villages throughout Ireland.
On the 17th of December VisionID took place in the "Jingle your Jumpers" day for Down Syndrome Tipperary. On the day we wore our best Christmas jumpers for the cause and had our own Christmas day for those in the office, including a virtual element for those working from home.
On the 8th of September some of our employees at VisionID took part in the Grant Thornton 5k. Their registration fees were split between The Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland and supporting up and coming Athletes in Athletics Ireland’s junior programmes.
This week VisionID took part in Bewley’s Big Coffee Morning Social to raise money for Hospice. Bewley’s have been hosting the coffee morning for 29 years and have raised over €40million for Hospice since the first coffee morning was held in 1992.
In the month of June Breast Cancer Ireland created a challenge sponsored by Sherry FitzGerald where they challenged people to Run, Walk or Wheel 100k in the 30 Days of June to raise money for Breast Cancer Ireland.
On September 19th, VisionID took part in Ireland's Biggest Coffee Morning for Hospice Together with Bewleys, to raise funds for Hospice. Together with Bewleys is one of Irelands biggest, longest established and most loved fundraisers in Ireland.
Following the success of last year, VisionID once again decided to take part in the Fight It Like a Child Easter Egg Collection. The collection, annually organised by Elizabeth Furlong gathers Easter Eggs for the patients of St. John's Cancer Ward in Crumlin Children's Hospital.
